Vehicle Operating Costs
Independent research performed by the Minnesota Department of Transportation sheds light on true vehicle operating costs. Several of our customers have calculated their vehicle operating costs, taking into account lease costs (and/or depreciation), insurance, fuel, routine maintenance, tires, and repairs. They found average total operating costs for a truck or van to be USD $0.72 / mile (CAD $0.50 / km).
